How can I find out more information about Green Oaks School?Please call us at (817) 496-5100 or email us at greenoaksschool@sbcglobal.net to set up a tour of the school and/or a meeting with the administrators. What ages does Green Oaks School serve?Our youngest student is eight and our oldest is 47. Our adults are part of our G.O.A.L. (Green Oaks Adult Learning) program. What are the admission requirements?
Following is a list of the minimum skills Green Oaks School would like to see in a student desiring to enter our school:
- Communicates wants/needs through one of a variety of modalities (verbal or other established communication system).
- Follows general rules/expectations of a special education classroom with behavior appropriate for the learning environment.
- Has, or is ready for, introductory skills in all areas of pre-academic readiness (e.g., numbers, letters, colors, shapes, listening, sequencing, fine motor for writing).
- Is able to independently take care of all toileting needs and is developing other self-help skills.
- Is prepared for a full, academically-structured day.
- Age-appropriate social interaction with peers and adults (e.g., hand shaking, proper greetings, sharing).
How can I contribute to Green Oaks School?You may make a cash or credit card donation via mail, e-mail, telephone, in person or by clicking the link on the Support page. You may also volunteer your time and/or company services. Green Oaks School is in need of office supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, school supplies, technology supplies, etc. Please contact the school with inquiries.
