What is GOAL?
The Green Oaks Adult Learning (GOAL) program is designed for adults who have completed their secondary education plan. They, along with their families, desire participation in a program with a continuing emphasis on academics, social skills, vocational training and additional life skills. The primary objective of the GOAL program is to provide an atmosphere of acceptance and appreciation for the gifts of the individual in a place where opportunities for continued growth and development are available. In addition, GOAL offers adults with intellectual delays a place for social interaction with their peers.
Learners in the GOAL Program participate in developing their own Personal Development Plans, which are individualized. Apart from the GOAL program, many individuals are involved in outside activities such as volunteering, employment and recreation. Green Oaks School is committed to tailoring our GOAL program to meet the needs of each student. Participants can enroll for part or full days, from one to five days a week. We will be happy to offer suggestions to help you to solve transportation issues.

In order to address the growing need for social engagement and the possibility of developing friendships and/or romantic relationships with others, Green Oaks School in Arlington, Texas and the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas came together to form Club 321, an adult social club.
It was our hope that this club would be yet another way to support individuals over the age of 18 with Down syndrome and similar intellectual disabilities in living out their dreams. For more information about Club 321, email firstname.lastname@example.org or check out the Club 321 Facebook page.
